  • Says actors actively promote Nigerian music
  • Notes longstanding ties between Nollywood and the music industry

Popular actor Timini Egbuson has hinted that Nigerian musicians do not support the film industry as much as actors promote their music.

Expressing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Egbuson said he wished the music industry showed more solidarity with Nollywood.

“I really wish musicians supported Nollywood the way we support their music, but that’s a conversation for another day,” he wrote.

The Nigerian entertainment industry has long witnessed crossovers between film and music. Over the years, several musicians have featured in Nollywood movies, while some actors have ventured into music, collaborating with artists.

Additionally, a number of actresses have appeared as vixens in music videos, further intertwining both industries.
