Khalifa Dikwa, an elder statesman and Dean of the Borno Elders Forum, claims that President Bola Tinubu was intimidated into supporting the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) cybersecurity levy policy.
Dikwa mentioned this in an appearance on Channels Television on Wednesday.According to him, the ‘unseen forces’ use intimidation to accomplish their goals.
He went on to say that the fee should not have been imposed at this time.
Dikwa, on the other hand, indicated that he was not surprised by the occurrence, claiming that the country was under external influence.
He said, “These forces can’t be seen and rely on intimidation to get their bidding done while saying the Tinubu administration is blackmailed into making these policies.
“It is the wrong time to impose the cybersecurity levy. I’m not surprised by the directive because Nigeria is seemingly controlled remotely by external forces.”
