Tinubu Government insecurity criticism by ACF over rising attacks

|By Chinwendu Nwani – Tinubu Government insecurity criticism has intensified after the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) warned that worsening insecurity is pushing citizens towards self-help.

Speaking on Arise News, ACF National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Tukur Mohammed-Baba, argued that Tinubu Government insecurity criticism remains valid despite official assurances that security is improving.

He said bandits continue to impose levies on rural communities and prevent farmers from accessing their land, particularly in parts of northern Nigeria. According to him, delayed deployment of forest guards has failed to address growing threats in ungoverned areas.

Furthermore, Mohammed-Baba said economic policies introduced by President Bola Tinubu have placed pressure on many households and lowered living standards.

He also expressed concern about school conditions, unpaid teachers and the continued threat of abductions, even in urban and semi-urban areas.

As a result, he warned that Nigerians increasingly feel compelled to protect themselves, a trend he said weakens public confidence in government institutions.
