Babatunji Wusu –

Former President Muhammadu Buhari, according to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, turned over a virtually comatose administration to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu, who took power on May 29th, implemented economic reforms immediately in order to restore public finances and attract more foreign investment. His administration has terminated a fuel subsidy and devalued the naira, causing Nigerians to face a triple of fuel prices and higher food prices.

On Channels Television’s Politics Today on Sunday, Governor Abiodun asked Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu’s administration, which he claims inherited a “almost comatose” administration.

He expressed hope that the country will be better off in the long run, and urged Nigerians to be patient with the Tinubu administration.
“The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been very bold and audacious,” the governor stated. They’ve grabbed the bull by the horns. They have accomplished something that no other government in Nigerian history has done.

“They had to deregulate to save Nigerians, and they deregulated at a time when petroleum pricing was at an all-time high.” But they knew full well that if they didn’t do it then, the country would be brought to its knees. As they say, there can be no gain without suffering. He took over a government that was nearly unconscious.”

“You know our President, besides being a former governor and senator, he is also an accountant,” he added on the current affairs program.

“So, he is very accurate, and all hands are on deck to turn this economy around.” We are optimistic, and we can see light at the end of the tunnel.”
