President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other security agencies to intensify operations in Kaduna State following the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area. The President also ordered security operatives to track down those responsible, rescue the abducted victims and restore peace to the affected communities. The renewed Kaduna security operations come after Monday’s attack reportedly claimed about 30 lives, including women and children, while several houses were set ablaze.
Condemning the attack on Tuesday, Tinubu described the incident as a barbaric and cowardly assault on innocent residents. He warned that those behind the violence would be brought to justice, stressing that criminal groups seeking to undermine the growing peace and improved security in Kaduna State would face decisive action.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening Kaduna security operations and tackling insecurity across the country.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.
Tinubu also expressed condolences to the families of the victims, Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government, and residents affected by the attack. He assured them of the Federal Government’s support and pledged to continue improving the nation’s security infrastructure.
“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” Tinubu stated.
The President urged residents to support the ongoing Kaduna security operations by providing security agencies with timely and reliable intelligence that could help prevent further attacks.
“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he said.
Tinubu reiterated that his administration remains committed to protecting lives and property and vowed that efforts to dismantle criminal networks would continue in Kaduna State and across Nigeria.
