President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over his administration’s debut Nigeria Police Council (NPC) meeting.
The discussion is believed to be taking place at the Presidential Villa’s Council Chamber in Abuja.
The Nigeria Police Council is a constitutional body that governs the organization and administration of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). It is chaired by the President.
The Council is made up of the governors of each state in the Federation, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, the Inspector-General of Police, and selected ministers.
The Nigeria Police Council last convened on June 4, 2021, and it was presided over by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
