Bola Tinubu, the president, has officially signed the N28.7 trillion 2024 Budget into law.
Encircled by top government officials, the president arrived at his office from the airport at precisely 2:00 PM and proceeded directly to the quick budget signing ceremony.

He gave his approval to the 2024 Appropriations Bill on Monday during a brief ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Senate President Godswill Akpabio both witnessed the ceremony.

Attendees were National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, and Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.

Among those present were Senator Olamilekan Adeola, the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila.

A few days after the 10th Senate approved the 2024 appropriations bill, Tinubu signed the budget.

President Bola Tinubu’s proposed N27.5 trillion budget was boosted to N28.7 trillion before it was approved.
