The Presidency has clarified details about President Bola Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle. Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, emphasized that the ministers were not “sacked” but “discharged.”

Speaking to TVC, Onanuga explained that the term “sacked” misrepresents their departure, noting that seven ministers were released from their roles, and seven new appointments were made.

Affected ministers include Uju-Ken Ohanenye (Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Gwarzo (Housing), and Jamila Ibrahim (Youth Development). The changes were officially announced on Wednesday.
