President Bola Tinubu will arrive in Kebbi State on Saturday for a one-day official visit, where he is scheduled to commission a series of projects delivered by Governor Nasir Idris.

The Presidency confirmed the visit in a statement issued Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

During the trip, Tinubu will formally inaugurate key infrastructure projects executed by the Kebbi State Government under Idris’ administration, underscoring ongoing federal-state collaboration on development initiatives.

Beyond the project commissioning, the President will take centre stage at the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival as Special Guest of Honour. The globally renowned cultural celebration, held annually along the riverside of historic Matan Fada, draws thousands of local and international tourists.

The Argungu Festival has earned global acclaim and is recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, further cementing its status as one of Africa’s most celebrated cultural events.

Tinubu’s presence at the festival is expected to amplify national attention on cultural tourism, heritage preservation, and economic opportunities within Kebbi State.
