In a bid to gather support from the Ogbomoso axis for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adebayo Adelabu, former governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and a former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala, met over possible alliance, The Premier News reports.

The former governor, Akala confirmed the several meetings to the The Premier News on Tuesday and he is expected to formal statement in due course.

“It is true. Both of us have been meeting and we will continue to meet. I will call you in 24 hours to let you know the state of things,” he told The Premier News.

Akala who is also running for the governoship race has been making moves to unite with other opposition candidates in the state to oust the ruling APC.

During the last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections, the ruling party performed not too well in the Ogbomoso axis largely controlled by the influence of Alao Akala and saw the dest of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in Oyo South.

To patch all these shortcomings for the next saturday’s gubernatorial election, APC stalwalts are pushing tocuhes to loopholes to coast home victory for Adelabu.
