Social Enterprise Specialist, Tolulope Babajide joins YBDN as Co-Founder Youthpreneur Business Development Network(YBDN), a social enterprise empowering and promoting youth-owned business in Nigeria, has announced an addition to its management team.
Mrs Tolulope Babajide joined the organisation in September as a Co-Founder bringing her wealth of experience in social enterprise, nonprofit management and fundraising for startups. YBDN was established in 2016 to accelerate the impact of young Nigerian entrepreneurs by uniting them with essential partners in collaborative pursuit of learning through capacity development trainings, leveraging on opportunities for investment and mentoring.
Founder of the organisation, Mrs Abimbola Oligbinde disclosed to Premier News that the organisation has been restructured to enable it serve the emerging Small and Medium Enterprises owned by youth better.
According to her, “Leveraging on partnerships and collaboration, YBDN is poised to empower more youth-owned businesses for accelerated growth across the country through its various platforms such as the Youthpreneur Women’s Enterprise Clinic, Youthpreneur Business Academy, Youthpreneur Skills Acquisition Programme, CEO’s Hangout and its flagship annual programme, Youthpreneur Business Summit”.
Mrs Oligbinde implored young entrepreneurs to leverage on the opportunities presented by the organisation by joining the YBDN SME Group
The organisation, currently a network of about 500 young entrepreneurs, promotes businesses of Nigerian youth between 18 and 40 years, connects them to viable resources and opportunities.
