Prior to the incident, Kazeem was reportedly under the influence of a substance believed to be a hard drug known as Colorado, which led to irrational behavior. Witnesses claim he ran uncontrollably before jumping into the river.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the details of the incident in a statement on Monday. He reported that on October 11, 2024, at approximately 11 AM, a complainant alerted the Alagbado Division regarding Kazeem’s actions. “Under the influence of the hard drug suspected to be Colorado, Kazeem ran uncontrollably and jumped into the river, resulting in his drowning,” Hundeyin stated.

Upon contacting Kazeem’s father, he requested that his son’s body be buried by the riverside in accordance with local customs. The police have conducted a thorough investigation into the matter.
