In a tragic turn of events late on Sunday night, a fatal accident took place at Mandilas Bus Stop, Iyana Isolo, off the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, resulting in the loss of three lives. The incident unfolded when a speeding Mercedes Benz SUV carrying two passengers collided with a stationary truck, leading to a fiery ordeal that ended in fatalities for the occupants of the SUV.

He described arriving at the scene around 11:38 pm, where a Mercedes Benz SUV collided with a truck carrying a 40-feet container. Preliminary findings indicate that overspeeding caused the collision. Following the incident, various emergency response teams swiftly intervened, ensuring the area’s safety, extinguishing fires, and evacuating victims. By 9 a.m. the next morning, traffic flow resumed after victim evacuation. SEHMU handled the deceased’s remains, with the damaged vehicles towed to the LASTMA Yard.
