According to the statement, the upward review would be implemented starting with the academic sessions of 2022–2023 and 2023–2024.
According to NAN, the increase will result in the following fees: N111,000 for first-year students, N91,500 for returning students, and N114,000 for final-year students enrolled in non-science courses.
They also have third-party dues of N36,500, N21,500, and N21,500 to pay, respectively.
Likewise, the cost of scientific courses was raised to N155,000 for first-year students, N125,000 for returning students, and N148,000 for final-year students.
They must also pay N38,500, N21,500, and N21,500 with respect to third-party dues in the same manner.
Prior to the increase, the average student’s tuition was N49,500 for returning students, N52,050 for final-year students, and N64,050 for freshmen, depending on the department.
The administration stated that maintaining the university’s reputation for high academic standards and the present economic climate were the reasons behind the raise.
