Security personnel in Edo State have detained two teens after the herbalist they allegedly contacted for a money ritual reported them. The suspects were detained in Oluku, Ovia North-East LGA of the state and were identified as Daniel Sunday, 19, of Akwa-Ibom State, and Ikponmwosa Ogbebor, 19, of Edo State.

They were detained when a female herbalist they hired for the rituals provided a tip to members of the Edo State Security Vigilante Network. The accused confessed to being in pursuit of money ritual, according to Col. Kole Oshoriamhe Omomia (Rtd), the network’s State Coordinator.

He continued by saying that they had no intention of killing anyone for the ceremonies but instead intended to sacrifice any body part for the get-rich-quick rite.
