Senator Uba Sani, the new governor of Kaduna state, took over the reins of power from Nasir El-rufai and vowed to lead an inclusive government.
Immediately after being sworn in as Kaduna State’s executive governor, he made this clear in his acceptance address.

“I am deeply honored and humbled by this privilege,” Sani said. Today, I pay due respect and homage to all of Kaduna State’s founding fathers and current leaders, from the illustrious Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, to the outstanding Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa’i, who served as the position’s most recent occupant. We will always be indebted to these outstanding men for maintaining Kaduna State’s vital position in Nigeria.
In his words, “Kaduna State shall remain a center of study and one of the top industrial hubs in the North and the country in general, as our founding fathers intended.

Indeed, I am very appreciative of Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa’i, my leader and mentor, for leaving a legacy that will make it simple for me to continue this State’s progress in all areas. As your governor, I would always prioritize Kaduna State. I promise to defend Kaduna State’s position as Nigeria’s political, economic, commercial, educational, and social center and to continue to fly the renowned leadership flag of this magnificent State very high.

The safety, security, and welfare of the people of Kaduna State will be the main focus of this administration in collaboration with the incoming members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, he added, adding that “I am well aware that leadership is not just a job but a calling.”I approach this task with preparation, a strong sense of resolve, and a distinct vision for the future development of Kaduna state. I’m determined to lead a government that won’t hesitate to make difficult choices when doing so would benefit our citizens more broadly.
