Rt Hon Titus Uba, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Benue State for the upcoming general elections, unveiled his manifesto titled “Soil As Our Oil” on Wednesday, 11th January, 2023, with a promise to address the state’s challenges if elected.
Engr. Uba, who is also the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, stated that the state has a comparative advantage in agriculture that must be properly leveraged for the benefit of the state.

He stated that the two cardinal points of the manifesto are security and agriculture, and that his government will encourage mechanized farming in order to develop the state while also paying close attention to the welfare of Benue workers.

Revenue and taxation, Health and Human Services, Education, Science and Technology, critical infrastructure development, and Information and Communication Technology are among the other areas covered in the blueprint (ICT).

The working document also mentions youth and sports development, the Sustainable Development Goals and donor program coordination, law, justice, and equity, and renewable energy solutions.

Hon. Isaac Mfo, State Chairman of the PDP, presented the document to the people, noting that it is a product of the party’s blueprint and promising that if properly executed, it is capable of improving the state’s economy.

Dr Cletus Tyokyaa, chairman of the PDP state campaign council, stated that the document covers all development sectors of the economy and thanked the people for remaining loyal to the PDP.
