UGM STORMS A HOTEL AND KIDNAPS A NEWLY DEPLOYED DPO IN PLATEAU.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Plateau State’s Pankshin LGA has reportedly been kidnapped by unknown gunmen. SP Lareee, a police officer, was kidnapped on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Woktori Hotel in Pankshin.

According to a police officer in the council area who spoke to reporters on Thursday, DPO Lareee, who was recently assigned to the division, was kidnapped by the gunmen after they shot him in his hotel room.

“The incident happened close to our house, as we just finished our night prayers with my family, we heard gunshots, we tried to figure out what was going on, and we learned that some armed men went to Woktori hotel,” a source told Vanguard.

We learned this morning that the kidnappers were responsible for the kidnapping of the newly appointed DPO in Pankshin. We learned that the man had just arrived and was staying at the hotel when they came to kidnap him.”
