Manchester United defeated Omonia Nicosia thanks to a stoppage-time winner from substitute Scott McTominay, maintaining their chances of finishing first in their group and earning a spot in the Europa League.
When McTominay came in with fewer than ten minutes left to play, Jadon Sancho set him up in the area for the game-winning goal.
As a result, United is still three points behind Real Sociedad, who defeated Sheriff Tiraspol to earn their fourth victory in as many competitive games.

Erik ten Hag’s team controlled and had numerous excellent scoring opportunities, but they were frustrated until McTominay’s winning goal.
