Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn-in Eng. Bashir Ahmad and Solomon Kumangar as Secretary to the State Government and Director General, Media and Communications respectively Ahmad served as Commissioner of Works during Fintiri’s three months tenure as acting governor in 2014. Speaking after the swearing-in,  Fintiri charged him to be firm and discharge his responsibility with out fear or favour., saying the appointment was based on merit, accountability and humility. Meanwhile, the  governor approved the appointment of a veteran journalist, Solomon Kumangar as Director General, Media and Communications at the Government House. Kumanga rose to become the Director News at the Adamawa Television (ATV) before his promotion to the level of director in the civil service. Also, a seasoned broadcaster with the Africa independent Television George Kushi has also been appointed as  Director Press to the deputy governor.
