UPDATED: Osinbajo Intervenes As Community Blocks Abuja Airport Road

The Gbagyi community on Tuesday blocked the Abuja Airport Road in protest against alleged nonpayment of land compensation. The action rendered air passengers stranded for hours. However, Laolu Akande, the spokesman of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said the VP has assured the residents of the area of his intervention in order to find an amicable solution. “On his way to the airport just now, VP Osinbajo runs into a group of FCT residents protesting alleged land takeover bid by the military. He gets down, engages the people, proposing to meet with their leaders on the matter & intervene with a view to finding an amicable solution,” Akande tweeted.  Detail soon
