The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has graciously declined a N30 million donation from the Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, urging that the money be redirected to orphanages or other charitable causes.
The incident unfolded during a massive outdoor evangelical crusade recently hosted by the church in Kebbi State. A representative of the governor — Commissioner for Social Duties, Zayyanu Umar Aliero — publicly announced the cash gift as a token of appreciation for Pastor Enenche’s visit and impactful spiritual outreach.
According to Aliero, the N30 million donation was already available in cash and ready to be presented to the church. But in a moment that stunned the audience, Pastor Enenche, while visibly surprised, respectfully turned down the offer on stage. He expressed gratitude for the governor’s generosity but firmly asserted that the church would not accept such a financial gift.
In response, the governor’s representative commended Pastor Enenche for his humility and unwavering commitment to the gospel, and agreed to honor the pastor’s request to channel the funds to more humanitarian efforts.
The gesture has since ignited praise across social media platforms, where many Nigerians have applauded Enenche for his integrity, spiritual discipline, and insistence on keeping government money out of a sacred gathering.
