In the early hours of Monday, a private vehicle fell off the Otedola Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, creating panic among commuters and passersby. Reports indicate that the car had four occupants, all of whom sustained varying degrees of injury. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident, stating that the driver was rescued and immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The accident caused a traffic backlog extending from Otedola Bridge to Berger, inward the Secretariat. LASTMA officials are on the scene managing the situation and ensuring that traffic flow is restored as quickly as possible.

Notably, this crash occurred in the same area where a gas-laden truck exploded several weeks ago, resulting in the tragic deaths of at least six people. The site has been a focal point for traffic and safety concerns.
