Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has identified the struggle over control of state resources as the primary driver of the ongoing political crisis. Speaking during the 18th anniversary of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) and the 51st birthday celebration of Chibuzor Chinyere, Fubara highlighted how resource disputes have led to conflicting court orders and divisions within the Rivers House of Assembly.

Governor Fubara assured the congregation that state resources would be managed responsibly for the people’s benefit. “We remain committed to using resources judiciously,” he said in a statement from his chief press secretary, Nelson Chukwudi. Fubara called on the church for continued prayers, expressing his dedication to advancing good governance and stability in the state.
