Roland Raymond, 32, was apprehended by police in Adamawa State as he attempted to extract an N600,000 ransom.

The suspect was taken into custody on Monday, according to a statement released by the command, on suspicion of criminal intimidation related to kidnapping.

According to a report by Alhaji Yahaya Congo and Abraham Paul, who claimed that the suspect called them on the phone and demanded N600,000 or risk being kidnapped, the police said the culprit was apprehended.

The statement further stated that as soon as the police in Ganye Division received the reports, they quickly mobilized and apprehended the suspect at the location where the requested money was being collected in cooperation with hunters.
