In Lagos, a 51-year-old father named Frederick Olorunfemi lost his life in a struggle with a school bus driver who was accused of molestation of his 7-year-old daughter.
In order to report the molestation, Frederick went to the school administration.
Frederick’s widow described what happened in an interview with Vanguard, saying: “On Wednesday, Feb. 1, my daughter told me that her school bus driver had been driving her to his house in Ajuwon under the guise that he wanted to drop something off at home and that she should join him.
Later, he was questioned about the accusations made against him, which he refuted. The only thing the driver could utter was, “me,” “me,” or “me.” My husband smacked the driver since he was obviously upset, and they began to argue. During their altercation, the driver pushed my husband in the chest.
He collapsed, and attempts to revive him failed. We hurried him to the hospital, where he was identified as the father.
