Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State, has given his reasoning for delaying the appointment of politicians to his cabinet, stating that he does not want distractions as he works to assemble a strong team for his administration.
The governor assured party members that they would not be overlooked and acknowledged their reservations regarding his appointments to date.
The governor stressed that his nominations were made solely on the basis of merit when he spoke on Friday during the swearing in of new commissioners and special advisers.

I’m not unaware that there have been questions about how these appointments are set up, he said.
I would like to state for the record that I intend to keep my election-year pledge that party leaders will be crucial in selecting candidates for political office at the right moment.
“Let me state that you were deliberately picked to be part of our team on our path to Ekiti Prosperity because of my lasting faith in your skills and competence,” the governor told the appointees.

However, you need to cultivate a good outlook to handle demands with kindness, firmness, generosity, and fear of God.
