Olusegun Obasanjo, a former president, has outlined his rationale for thinking that God is a Nigerian.

On December 1, he declared: “I think that God is a Nigerian,” during a gathering in Abuja. I might not agree with Bishop Kukah. God loves us so much that despite the fact that we have committed several stupid mistakes, he has nonetheless let us to get away with them.

I genuinely hope that God’s patience knows no bounds, but if it does, there will come a time when God will declare, “No, I’ve had enough. Furthermore, Musikilu can write 20 books about lettermen and letter ladies, but it won’t assist us if God says he has heard enough.

I think it’s important to learn the appropriate lessons. We have everything we require. God has provided us with all we require, yet we are not acting appropriately. There is no God; we are to take responsibility.

We as a nation probably don’t appreciate what we have, and if we did, I think we would do better than we are doing now if we made good use of it.
