The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has rehashed that all kept outcomes in its assessments were because of supposed acts of neglect.
The Head, Public Office (HNO) Mr Patrick Areghan, expressed this in a meeting with the News Organization of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.
Areghan was denouncing the setting of reports in certain areas of the media, blaming the committee for purposely keeping consequences of applicants as far as anyone knows for the 2022 WASSCE.
“Our consideration has been attracted to reports in certain quarters of how the chamber was purposely keeping aftereffects of applicants of certain states in the country.
“This, I will say, is mischievous, pernicious, deceiving and a determined endeavor to drag the name of board into the mud or unsavoriness. It is total obliviousness.
“For accentuation, any up-and-comer that has their outcome kept is because of supposed assessment misbehavior.
“After important examinations of all supposed assessment misbehavior cases, blameless applicants would have their outcomes delivered, while the liable ones will have that subject or whole outcomes dropped.
“This will be as coordinated by the Nigeria Assessments Panel,” the WAEC supervisor expressed.
He added that however much the assessment body was willing and prepared to keep up with cheerful associations with every one of its partners, taking steps to prosecute chamber by certain people over the improvement was inappropriate.
“We have our proof however and any one in uncertainty can move toward us. We are consistently prepared to introduce our side, anyplace we are called upon to do.
“We stand by our guidelines and guidelines. We will continuously apply similar arrangement of regulations all around the country, regardless of the stuff or who is involved.
“We won’t ever apply various arrangements of regulations for various states in the nation, or give any particular treatment to any competitor, everyday life besides.
“We will keep on contributing our share to public improvement by conveying quality administrations, in a bid to disinfect the framework,” Areghan added. (NAN)
