Former Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi has come under fire from Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike for suggesting that the governor makes a lot of noise with his projects.
Amaechi’s comments, according to Wike, who spoke at the opening of the Rukpakwulusi/Eliogbolo internal roads on Saturday, reeked of jealousy and hate.
Asserting that Amaechi brought nothing home as a minister, Wike called Amaechi a failure and a liar and claimed that the majority of the promises the former governor made to Rivers were not kept.
“I heard the former governor of Rivers State say a few days ago that he built many roads in Port Harcourt without making a fuss. What is the noise all about? I failed to notice the flyovers. Mention the road if you did it.
Every ambassador to Nigeria was transported there when the secondary school in Elekahia Rebisi was being erected, in my memory. that little college. You then inquire as to what we are commemorating. Disgrace to you.
“Look, it doesn’t matter; this man is the best in terms of infrastructure,” your President stated. We’re rejoicing in your failures.
You misled your citizens. Did we receive the executive director project that you promised the NDDC?
“I am pleased that even your supporters, if any are still with you, can point to a prominent figure in the community government and say, ‘This man is with me.’ mostly because your lies have been exposed. I did not say that guests should abandon your celebration. The Federal government is aware that you are a bloody liar because we have used initiatives to demystify you.
Amaechi never brought any projects to the State, which was disheartening, according to Wike, who also noted that Amaechi’s supporters had started to turn against him because of his lack of integrity.
Wike blasts Amaechi for calling the project “noisy.”

“After eight years in office, you promised to finish the Andoni-Opobo Unity Road. What did you do? We have finished the Opobo section by the grace of God today, and we are still working on the Andoni section.
