Timi Frank, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asked President Bola Tinubu and the APC to summon Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, or his thirst for administration will backfire.
In a statement made on Tuesday, Frank lambasted Wike for reportedly masterminding an impeachment attempt against Rivers State Governor Siminilaye Fubara.
He blasted the cops for using tear gas and splashing water on the governor.
Wike, he alleged, was destroying Tinubu’s administration by demolishing residences and rescinding title of landed properties in Abuja.
According to him, Wike intends to demolish the APC in order to run for President on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform in 2027.
Frank emphasized that Fubara became an adversary because of his failure to obey orders from Wike, who is purportedly pursuing the state’s money and allocations.
“Already, Wike has begun demolishing houses and revoking ownership of landed property in Abuja in order to enrage Nigerians, make Tinubu hated, and portray the APC administration as wicked and anti-people,” he claimed.
“By the time Tinubu realizes it, it will be too late because Wike will have destroyed his government in order for him to run for President in 2027.”
“All Wike cares about is governance; he has begun planning for the presidency in 2027.” So he’s desperate, and he’ll do everything to appease Tinubu, even if it means destroying the administration if they don’t call him to order.
“If Wike loves Tinubu and believes in his administration, let him officially join the APC and become a party member.” But he has resisted because he wants to destroy the APC so that he may run for president in 2027 on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner. Because of his nefarious goal, he has refused to defect to APC.
“Tinubu and the APC should be wary, but they should also urgently call on Wike to stop this madness in Rivers State, or it will backfire.”
“Wike campaigned for Fubara, claiming he was the best candidate among all the other governorship candidates.” But, all of a sudden, Fubara has become his adversary since, as a tyrant seeking Rivers’ money, Fubara is no longer taking his commands.”
He also urged governors from all parties to rally behind their Rivers State counterpart in his efforts to remove Wike’s authoritarianism and Godfatherism in the state.
Frank also pushed Fubara to be steadfast in opposing Wike’s nefarious schemes, saying that light would win over darkness in due time.
“If they allow Wike to succeed in using federal might to illegally remove Fubara as governor, sitting governors will become vegetables like local government chairmen in states,” he added, “because former governors who worked for their emergence as governors will borrow a leaf of illegality from Wike to hound them out of office whenever they fail to do their bidding.” So it’s not just about the governor of Rivers.”
