Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, drew public attention on Saturday after a video surfaced online showing him participating in a traditional wrestling dance alongside former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche.
The viral clip, which spread rapidly across social media platforms, captured the FCT minister in high spirits as he exchanged cultural dance steps with Nwuche, drawing cheers from onlookers.
Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, confirmed that the moment occurred in Ochigba, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, during a community gathering.
The minister arrived in Rivers State earlier in the week to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays with his family, marking a brief return to his political home base.
Sources close to the minister disclosed that Wike is scheduled to host his annual end-of-year media chat in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on Monday, December 29, where he is expected to address national issues and developments within the Federal Capital Territory.
