Wike Vows Loyalty to PDP While Supporting Tinubu

Wike has reaffirmed his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, even as he continues to serve under President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC. In the same BBC Pidgin interview, the FCT Minister declared he has no plans to defect.

“I no dey fear. I go stay for PDP and still work for Tinubu,” Wike insisted. According to him, politics should transcend party lines when national interest is involved. His stance defies typical partisan expectations and reflects a more pragmatic approach to governance.

He likened the PDP to a house he built and vowed not to abandon it. “How person go build house finish, then another person go pursue am comot?” he questioned, ridiculing calls for his resignation from the party.
