• Police discovered the victim unconscious on the tracks near Zeberced Company, with severe head and leg injuries.

A tragic train accident claimed the life of an unidentified woman along the Gwagwa-Idu railway line in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday.

According to police sources, officers responded to a distress call and discovered the woman unconscious on the railway track behind Zeberced Company, suffering from critical injuries consistent with a train accident.

“Upon arrival, our operatives found the victim with a crushed head and broken legs,” a police source stated.

She was immediately transported to Kubwa General Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed her death.

Her body has been placed in the hospital’s mortuary, where an autopsy will be conducted. Meanwhile, authorities are actively working to identify the deceased and notify her family.
