Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has addressed criticism over his online posts, revealing why he rarely shares pictures of his children with estranged wife, May Edochie.

Speaking on the KAA Truth Podcast with Kel Armstrong Amobi, Yul, who remains in contact with his children, dismissed claims that he abandoned them. He explained that he recently sent money to his second son through his mother’s bank account, keeping a record of his support.

“I’ve read people saying I abandoned my children. Sometimes I laugh at it. If my children never complain, it’s funny because I’m in contact with them,” Yul said.

He recounted that his second son recently gained admission into university and completed his matriculation. “He told me about it a day before, and I said, ‘Why didn’t you tell me earlier so I could come?’ But I congratulated him. He’s 17, the same age I got into university. I wish him the best,” he added.

Yul emphasized that a court order restricts him from posting images of his children for their safety. “No matter what happened, it shouldn’t affect the children. There’s a court order stating I shouldn’t post anything about them. My second son is 17, and my other is 8. It’s not that I don’t love them—they are my blood,” he stated.

The actor also noted that the ongoing divorce proceedings with May Edochie limit what he can publicly share but reassured fans that he remains an involved father.
