Zari Lauds Zuchu, Calls Her “Girlfriend of the Year” Amid Diamond Platnumz Marriage Buzz

Zari Hassan, the former partner of Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz, has broken her silence following reports of Diamond’s alleged marriage to singer Zuchu and she didn’t hold back.
In a candid moment captured in a now-viral clip shared by Ayo TV, the Ugandan socialite and businesswoman appeared to both praise and subtly shade her ex as she commented on the relationship between Diamond, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul Juma, and his long-rumored partner Zuchu.
“She deserves Girlfriend of the Year,” Zari declared. “I say it, right? She’s strong, she’s resilient. We couldn’t do it. Natasha came there, she failed. Look at Zuchu she’s standing. So I’m so proud of her.”
Her remarks, while laced with admiration for Zuchu’s persistence, also seemed to highlight the challenges that come with being in a relationship with the Bongo Flava star. Zari, who shares two children with Diamond, noted that enduring the complexities of dating him is no easy feat.
“I hope Naseeb treats her better now because she’s a wife. Let him change. That girl is putting up with a lot of sh*t from Naseeb. So I feel so happy for her,” she added.
Zari’s comments come amid growing speculation that Diamond and Zuchu have tied the knot, although neither has officially confirmed the marriage. The pair have been romantically linked for years, often sharing intimate moments on social media but stopping short of addressing their relationship status outright.
Zari and Diamond’s relationship ended in 2018 after a public fallout, and since then, both have co-parented their children while occasionally exchanging words in the media.
Her latest remarks add a new layer to the ongoing public fascination with Diamond’s love life and highlight Zuchu’s increasingly central role in it.
