Zenith Bank has once again ushered in the festive season with its annual Light-Up ceremony, held on Saturday, 23 November 2024, along Ajose Adeogun Street and Roundabout in Victoria Island, Lagos. The ceremony was led by Adaora Umeoji, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc.
Now in its 18th year, the Light-Up event has become a hallmark of the holiday season in Lagos. The dazzling Christmas decorations transform Ajose Adeogun Street, home to Zenith Bank’s headquarters, and the surrounding roundabout into a stunning yuletide wonderland. The spectacle has grown into an iconic attraction, drawing visitors from all over who come to capture the beauty of the display and enjoy the festive atmosphere with family and friends.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Umeoji expressed the bank’s pride in the tradition, noting that the event has become an internationally recognized symbol of the Christmas spirit. “Our elaborate Christmas decorations have not only become a centerpiece for our community but have also been shared globally on social media,” she said. She also highlighted Zenith Bank’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and emphasized the bank’s focus on customer satisfaction.
She encouraged everyone to embrace the values of Christmas, such as love, kindness, generosity, and respect for humanity. Mrs. Umeoji also extended her gratitude to the Lagos State Government for supporting the initiative and commended Quantum Markets for their continued excellence in curating the yearly decorations.
