Nigerian rapper Temidayo Omoniyi, widely known as Zlatan Ibile, has disclosed that he quit smoking four years ago, marking a major lifestyle change for the “Zanku” hitmaker.

The rapper made the revelation during a recent interactive session with fans on Snapchat, where one user asked if he still smoked. Responding candidly, Zlatan wrote, “A day can’t pass without someone asking me this question. Yes, I quit smoking four years ago. And I have no issues with smokers.”

Zlatan’s announcement adds him to the growing list of Nigerian music stars who have kicked the smoking habit or vowed to do so. Artists such as Don Jazzy, Peruzzi, Tekno, and Kizz Daniel have all shared similar journeys toward healthier living.

Back in 2018, Davido also declared his intention to quit smoking, citing Don Jazzy’s transformation as his motivation. Zlatan’s revelation further reflects a positive shift among Nigerian entertainers embracing wellness and discipline in their personal lives.
