A Buddha statue toppled over on workers in the province of Sisaket. Saranyu Kanyamai, 40, and a colleague named Adisak moved a large gilded statue to prepare the temple grounds for the religious ceremony.
At some point, the Buddha leaned over, fell on them and crushed them. One of the victims died on the spot, the second was hospitalized with a severe leg injury, media reported.
