APC’s National Working Committee has published a list of the Presidential Campaign Council that has been evaluated (PCC).
Iyiola Omisore, the Party’s National Secretary, released the updated list on Wednesday.
Before the PCC is inaugurated on Friday, Mr. Omisore also released a second list that includes all the members of the council and directorates.
In September, the APC governors and members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) voiced their displeasure with a list that had been provided by the PCC’s Secretary, a Lagos-based congressman named James Faleke.
The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) governors threatened to disrupt the campaign over the list, which they claimed neglected their chosen candidates, The Premier News had exclusively reported.
In addition, there was a letter purportedly from Abdullahi Adamu’s office, the party’s national chairman, opposing the PCC’s makeup. The letter was, however, rejected by the party.

While the PCC’s inauguration and the campaign’s flag-off were postponed, the Director General of the PCC, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, and the Chairman of the PGF, Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State, reportedly collaborated on the list to take party stakeholders’ interests into account.
The governors and NWC members had a private meeting two weeks prior.
“Although there were names that were unfortunate not to make the list and the campaign council, the party has announced that would be harmonised, we are happy to say that the party is solidly behind the candidate and I believe whatever list has come out incorrectly are mistakes and were not authorised,” Mr. Bagudu said following the meeting.
The NWC, the governors, the council, and the party’s candidate, Bola Tinubu, met last week to discuss the PCC list and the party programme.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who is also the Campaign Council Chairman, will inaugurate the PCC on Friday at the State House.

The PCC hasn’t altered all that much. Mr. Buhari continues to serve as the council’s chairman, while Messrs. Tinubu and Adamu serve as the vice chairmen, and Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate, serves as both the vice chairperson of the council and the director of fundraising.
All NWC members, all APC National Assembly members, all federal executive members, all previous APC governors and deputy governors, all former APC NWC members, and all current APC National Executive Council members make up the council’s membership.
APC candidates for national and state assemblies, as well as all currently existing APC speakers, deputy speakers, and senior officers of state houses of assembly, as well as all APC previous speakers of state assemblies, are also included in this group.
