The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has projected a swift and decisive outcome in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that an alliance between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso would secure victory before midday.

Speaking during an appearance on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, Tanko dismissed alternative political permutations and warned against what he described as a losing strategy.

He was reacting to comments by media personality Dele Momodu, who had backed a potential ticket pairing Atiku Abubakar with Obi under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Tanko, however, rejected the idea and fired a pointed question: “Do you want to choose someone who will win the primary and lose the election?”

He argued that zoning would be a decisive factor in the race, warning that failure to zone the presidency to the South could cost the ADC the election.

“With an Obi–Kwankwaso ticket,” he declared, “the election will be over by 12 noon.”

His remarks add to the growing debate over coalition strategies, zoning arrangements, and power alignment as political actors begin early calculations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
