Nigerian music icon, Innocent 2Baba Idibia, has accused some family members and close associates of orchestrating what he described as a “dangerous campaign” to tarnish his image, disrupt his relationships and brand him mentally unstable.

In a video released online, the acclaimed singer declared that he could no longer stay silent, stressing that the crisis had moved beyond typical family disagreements. 2Baba firmly dismissed insinuations about his mental state, insisting he remains healthy and active.

“I’m okay. I’m perfectly normal. Please stop painting me as mentally unstable,” he stated.

He alleged that the same interference that strained his marriage with actress Annie Idibia has now shifted to his current partner, Natasha, whom he claimed is already receiving death threats.

“My family destroyed my marriage with Annie. Now they are after Natasha,” he said.
“Natasha is getting death threats right now. This has gotten dangerously out of hand.”

Expressing outrage, 2Baba said those claiming to be protecting him were instead endangering his life and Natasha’s.

“You say you’re trying to save me, but you’re killing me. You’re killing us.”

He emphasized that he is capable of making personal decisions and choosing his partner.

“I’m a grown man and I have the right to be with who I want to be with.”

The African Queen crooner noted that he remains active in the public eye, citing recent performances in Abuja and repeated sightings by fans.

“Everybody has been seeing me out there. Anybody that has eyes knows I’m okay.”
