BBNaija’s Queen Mercy Atang Confirms Marriage Collapse, Declares Herself ‘Single and Unavailable’

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye alumna, Queen Mercy Atang, has officially confirmed the end of her one-year marriage to David Oyekanmi, putting months of speculation to rest.

Queen tied the knot with Oyekanmi in March 2024, following a public back-and-forth with her baby daddy, comedian Lord Lamba. The union soon drew social media attention after she unfollowed her husband on Instagram and wiped their wedding photos, fuelling rumours of a marital breakdown.

At the time, she attempted to dismiss the speculation, insisting she only wanted to keep her marriage off social media and control the narrative around her personal life.

However, the reality star confirmed the split on Wednesday while responding to a follower under a recent Instagram post she shared from Mercy Aigbe’s mother’s burial.

When a fan asked if her marriage was still intact because she was “too beautiful to be single,” Queen dropped the final verdict, replying: “Single and unavailable.”

Her declaration marks the first public confirmation that the marriage has crashed, despite earlier efforts to downplay the crisis.
