Tunji Wusu –
Numerous poor kids and students in Imo State have received scholarships from the Eric Cares Foundation.
According to the charity, the awardees were chosen from six primary and secondary schools in the state’s Oru East municipality based on their intelligence and financial circumstances.
Additionally, the organization gave away educational supplies totaling more than five million Naira to local students and students at a few chosen local schools. Exercise books, school bags, and water bottles are among the things.
Ozuh Omuma Community Primary School, Omuma Technical School, Divine Favour Secondary School, Akatta Secondary School, Uche Secondary School, and Amiri Secondary School are among the beneficiary institutions.
The gesture was a part of the foundation’s “Back to School; Giving Back Outreach Program for Primary School Pupils and Secondary School Students,” according to Eric Uwakwe, the director of the organization, who spoke to reporters at the ceremony.
The event, according to Uwakwe, who is also the Director General of the Shared Prosperity Youth Movement (SPYM) and Special Advisor to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Youth Affairs, was created to help underprivileged students in rural community schools pursue their educational goals.
The Governor’s aide also took advantage of the occasion to urge local residents to vote for Uzodimma again since, in his opinion, she has provided competent and good leadership in the state’s governance.
Little Miss Uchechi Nwadike, Kingsley Okafor, and some other winners responded by thanking the foundation for supporting their education and promising to do well in school to make their parents and the foundation proud.
