Senate President Bukola Saraki has shared lovely pictures of how he celebrated this year’s women’s day.
Women’s day is a celebration which is done on the 8 of March every year.
It is geared towards the movement for women’s rights. The 1910 International Socialist Woman’s Conference suggested a Women’s Day be held annually, after the Socialist Party of America organized a Women’s Day on February 28, 1909, in New York.
Celebrating this year’s women’s day, Bikola Saraki shared on Twitter:
“Today, I join the world over, in celebrating the great achievements of women across Nigeria and the world who continue to play transformative roles in various spheres of influence that impact our future. #IWD2019 #InternationalWomensDay”
