’EMBER-MONTH’ TRAGEDY: HEAVY DUTY TRUCK CRUSHES PEDESTRIAN TO DEATH

Tragedy struck at the early hours of Monday, the first day of the Month of November, 2021 as an unidentified passer-by was crushed to death by a fast moving heavy duty truck at Ogba area of Ikeja, Lagos state.

The incidence occurred around 6:45 AM at the front of a popular hotel called Excellence hotel in Aguda, Ogba, Lagos. The occurrence left other passer-by astonished at the quick and sharp turn of event.

An eyewitness identified as Samuel Oladimeji says, he was just about opening his shop when the incident happened.

“The guy wanted to cross to the other side when the on rushing trailer hit him within a flash. I am not even sure the truck driver knew he hit someone because he maintained his speed while driving off.” He said.

Other motorists were diverted to other road lanes as the body of the unidentified man remained lifeless on the road.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has been contacted by the Premier News, and they have promised to be there swiftly to evacuate the lifeless body.
