Ejalonibu Foundation, a Non-governmental Organization, (NGO), indicated it has offered over 2500 residents of Badagry communities free health services and eyes glasses to complement Lagos State government efforts on health sector.

The founder of the Foundation, Wusu Ejalonibu on Tuesday revealed this during the round off ceremony of Ejalonibu Free Health Treatment at the Palace of Akran of B adagry, Aholu Menu Toyi 1.

Ejalonibu stated communities visited include, Apa, Imeke, Seme, Ajido, and Badagry.

He hinted that the decision to embark on such gesture was due to his love for the masses and aim of providing necessary needs to the people at the rural level.

In his words, “We are taking health issues of the less privilege seriously, that is why we concentrated on people from the rural areas during the six days free health programme.

“Those present during the exercise were given free medicated glasses and drugs.

“Almost 80 percent results of people we attended to have high sugar level and some high blood pressure that they were not aware.

“Most of the affected people were advised on what to do.” He noted.

Ejalonibu, also expressed his happiness over the large turn out and appealed to residents of Badagry to always go for medical routine checkup, adding that this would help them to know their health status.

The Akran of Badagry, Aholu Menu Toyi 1 implore residents of the city to use the opportunity to check their health status.

He commended the foundation for assisting the people of Badagry with free health treatment.

Medical Team Leader, Dr Busayo Olatunji advised beneficiaries to take care of themselves health wise and take use of the opportunity and check their health status regularly, adding that the team his joyous at the massive turnout of residents of most communities visited.

One of the beneficiaries, Sumbo Bolaji was treated with eye problem and issued an eye glass later expressed delight over the free health treatment.
