(THE PREMIER NEWS) On Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari pledged Nigerians that his administration would eradicate all forms of banditry, criminality, terrorism, and insurgency before turning over control of the country to the next set of authorities in 2023.
At the 2022 National Honours Award Investiture, which was hosted at the International Conference Centre in Abuja and honored 440 outstanding Nigerians and seven foreigners with various national honors, Buhari delivered the assurance.
“We will keep eradicating all manifestations of terrorism, criminality, banditry, and insurgency in the country. As I promised previously in my state of the nation address, I will leave the next generation of leaders in charge of a Nigeria free from insecurity.
