Distribution of the N150 million in relief supplies and the N50 million in cash provided by Deputy Senate President and Delta APC governorship candidate Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for flood victims in the state has begun. Both donations were made by All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The Director, Communications and Media Strategy, Delta APC Campaign Organization, Ima Niboro, stated that the money and gifts, which included bags of rice, beans, salt, blankets, seasoning, mosquito nets, clothes, roofing sheets, and nails, were sent to local leaders of the affected areas for distribution to victims in IDP camps throughout the three senatorial districts.

The supplies were gathered at the Agbarha-Otor residence of Chief Ominimini Obiuwevwi, coordinator of the state APC campaign organization in Delta Central, who spoke during the exercise and said the development was in line with the commitment made by Tinubu and Omo-Agege a week ago to provide aid to the victims.

He revealed that the three camps the party visited last week—Patani (Delta South), Utagba-Ogbe Technical College (Delta North), and Okwagbe Secondary School (Delta Central)—were each given N5 million, and the other 15 camps would each receive N2.3 million. The relief supplies would also be distributed equally among the three senatorial districts.

Bomadi Town and Tuono in the Burutu Local Council, Isaba in the Warri South West Local Council, Inorin in the Warri South Local Council, the estate of the late Francis Senator Okpozo in Ozoro in the Isoko North Local Council, and Joel Onovwakpo Thomas’ campaign headquarters in Emede in the Isoko South Local Council are among the centers in Delta South that received N2.3 million each.

The NDDC IDP Camp in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Council; DESOPADEC IDP Camp in Ndokwa East Local Council; Ewulu Mixed Secondary School IDP Camp in Ewulu, Aniocha South Local Council; Basic Secondary School in Illah, Oshimili North Local Council; and Onne Primary School Cable Point in Asaba, Ndokwa South Local Council are the recipients of the N2.3 million each in Delta North.
