18 online scammers are detained by the EFCC in Ilorin.

Wilson Uwujaren, its spokesman, said that “after credible intelligence information, the suspects were smoked out of their hideouts at separate locations.

“They were detained in Ilorin, Sobi, Akerebiata, and Las Vegas Estate.

“The suspects, largely in their early 20s, include six students from a respected tertiary institution in Kwara, a football player, a fashion designer, a Bitcoin dealer, a laundryman, and a gambler who wagers on online sports, among others,” he said.

He continued by saying that the suspects had been found with five exotic cars, 32 different types of cell phones, eight laptops, and some evidence.

At the conclusion of the inquiry, the suspects would be charged in court, according to Uwujaren.
